House. c1614 (carved on porch). Timber-frame and plaster; old
plain tiles, with gable to right. 4-bay plan. 2-storeys, attic
and cellar; 3-window range: mullion and transom windows with
leaded lights and casements; 2-light casement in gable;
chevron braced panels. Hipped gable-dormer with 3-light
casement. Central studded plank door in moulded case with
leaded overlight under moulded lintel; timber porch with
turned posts and balusters; flanked by mullion and transom
windows with leaded lights and casements, under moulded
bressummer. Right returned side: massive rubble stack base;
2-light casement, and canted bay, with mullion and transom
leaded casements, to ground and 1st floors. Single storey wing
to rear of brick and rubble; 2 brick stacks; mullion and
transom casements; plank door; outshut; hipped roof dormer
with 2-light leaded casement. INTERIOR: C17 wall paintings;
C17 and C18 panelling and doors; stone fireplaces; plaster
ceilings; much exposed timber-framing. Restored by Staleybrass
c1910?
