Terrace of 4 houses. c1820. Limestone ashlar, rubble and
brick, with a pantile roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian
style. Each of 3 storeys and basement; 1-window range.
Articulated by strip pilasters to a cornice and parapet; open
area and steps down to basement door. Right-hand
semicircular-arched doorways with flat canopies on deep, flat
brackets and thin pilaster jambs, and doors with reeded panels
and fanlights. 8/8-pane ground-floor sashes, 3/6-panes on the
second floor. INTERIOR not inspected but includes fielded
shutters to the ground floor. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached
wrought-iron front basement area railings. Built after the
opening of the New Cut in 1809.
