Terrace of 7 houses. c1840. Limestone ashlar, roof not
visible. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. 2 storeys, 3
storey end houses; each of 2 windows, Nos 3-6 a 3-window
range. An irregular composed terrace, articulated by pilasters
with a first-floor band dividing the fronts into panels, with
cornice and parapet; the right-hand house is set back, as is
the entrance to No.1. Left-hand doorway to No.2, Nos 3-6 have
central doors, recessed with moulded imposts in the reveals,
overlights with margin panes, and 2-panel doors. End houses
have ground-floor bays, tripartite ground and first-floor
windows, and paired second-floor windows, with cornices; the
rest have shallow recessed surrounds, to 6/6-pane sashes.
INTERIOR: No.5, entrance hall and central stair well, an
open-well stair with turned balusters and newels and a ramped
rail, cornices, shutters, and marble fireplaces.
