Terrace of 3 houses. Mid C19. Limestone ashlar, lateral and
party wall stacks, and slate and concrete-tiled hipped roofs.
Double-depth plan. Italianate style. 2 storeys and basement;
7-window range. A symmetrical group with the end houses
projecting, and entrances in side porches; banded ground-floor
to a plat band, first-floor pilasters with capitals, and deep
eaves on paired brackets. The doorway to No.20 to the right
has consoles to a canopy, an overlight and 6-panel door. Plain
windows have consoles to cornices on the first floor, and
sashes with margin bars. In the middle is a statuary niche.
INTERIOR: No.20, entrance hall, a lateral dogleg stair with
curtail; 6-panel doors and panelled shutters.
