Pair of houses. Mid C19. Red brick in English garden-wall bond
on stone plinth, with sandstone dressings; coursed sandstone
at rear. Slate roof with overhanging eaves on shaped brackets;
central ridge stack of brick, set diagonally. 2-storey
2-window front, between 2-storey 1-window bays, set back.
Replacement doors in each end bay, in square-headed, quoined
doorcase with shouldered arched opening. Ground floor windows
are 2-light large-pane casements with painted stone sills,
beneath square hoodmoulds. First-floor windows are casements
in gabled half-dormers, with painted stone sills over shaped
aprons. First-floor windows in side bays are oculi, with
square-pane glazing in quatrefoil frames. Raised band of 2
brick courses at first floor level.
