House. Probably early C19; altered. Coursed squared sandstone,
composition tile roof, ashlar chimneys. L-plan: double-depth
double-fronted main range with rear wing to right-hand half.
Two storeys and attic, 5 windows, symmetrical; central doorway
with moulded architrave and shallow cornice, C20 board and
glazed door; 12-pane sashed windows with raised sills and
wedge lintels, all those to the left of the doorway with panes
painted black. Ridge chimney and gable chimneys. Left return
wall has two 12-pane sashes on each floor. Right-hand return
wall has one similar window on each floor towards the front, a
round-headed 12-pane sashed stair-window with plain surround
and keystone, a 2-light casement to the right of this, and
further to the rear one large 16-pane unhorned sash on each
floor of the wing, both with exposed boxes. South side of wing
has back doorway with studded door, and similar windows.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but said to have doglegged staircase
with elaborate wrought-iron balusters.
