Farmhouse, now religious centre. Probably late C17 or early
C18; altered. Coursed sandstone rubble, slate roof. L-plan
formed by a single-depth 3-bay main range facing south (ie
with back towards lane) with a rear wing to the centre and an
outshut to the first bay. Two low storeys and 4 windows: the
south front has a doorway offset right of centre with a board
door protected by an open-fronted lean-to porch with stone
slate roof; at ground floor one 3-light casement window in the
1st bay and another in the 3rd, both with raised sills and
rectangular lintels, and at 1st floor a similar casement in
the 1st bay, an inserted oblong window and a 2-light casement
in the 2nd bay, and a 2-light casement in the 3rd bay. Gable
chimneys. The left gable has a 2-light casement and a small
2-light sliding sash at ground floor, and altered windows
above; the right-hand gable has a C20 brick extension at
ground floor and a 2-light sliding sash above. At the rear the
ground floor of the main range is now covered by a C20 glazed
external corridor but has a 3-light casement on each floor;
and the gable of the wing has a 2-light sliding sash at ground
floor and a small-paned 3-light casement above.
