House in row, now 2 houses. C16 or C17.
MATERIALS: painted rubble with oak lintels on left (Ye Old
Cottage); stucco on rubble to right; steep asbestos slate roof
with central rubble stack and brick end stacks plus truncated
original external rubble lateral stack.
PLAN: single-depth plan including rear stair projection left
of through passage and C18 wing at rear left.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 4-window range. Left of lateral stack is
gabled 2-storey bay projection with slatehanging to 1st floor
and original squint slit window openings to ground floor of
returns. Late C19 or C20 2-light casements to Ye Old Cottage
(left) with 3-panes per light except for C20 16-pane casements
to projecting bay; planked door and window under shared lintel
left of projecting bay. Weehouse has original doorway fronting
through passage towards right and C19 4-pane hornless sash to
each floor on the right.
INTERIOR: C18 plank and muntin screen right of passage; some
original chamfered ceiling beams to Ye Old Cottage; stone
winder stair and one original truss with halved lapped and
dovetail joints to pegged collar.
