Farmhouse, now house. Possibly early C17, cased in stone in later C17; altered.
Coursed magnesian limestone blocks, pantile roof. Linear 3-cell plan, formerly
with lobby entry (altered). One and a half storeys; at junction of 1st and
2nd cells, a 2-light sliding sash in place of former doorway, with large rectangular
lintel above it, and to right of this an inserted doorway with pantiled canopy;
to the left the 1st cell has a very small square window and a large 2-light
sliding sash, a gabled dormer above; to the right, the 2nd cell has a smaller
2-light window, the 3rd has a 2-light window and another gable dormer. Steeply
pitched roof with ridge chimney in line with former doorway, another chimney
at right gable. Interior: not inspected, reported to contain some evidence
of earlier, timber-framed, building. Reference: RCHM Rural Houses of West
