Farmhouse. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble with some marlstone-ashlar
dressings; Stonesfield-slate roof with brick gable stacks. 3-unit plan with
subsidiary wing. 2 storeys plus attic and 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front
of main range has 2-light casements, wider in the outer bays and all with ashlar
flat arches; the middle ground-floor window was probably a doorway.
Steep-pitched roof has 3 gabled roof dormers with leaded 2-light casements, and
has gable parapets with projecting moulded kneelers. Lower 2-window range to
left has irregular casements (one inserted) plus the present main entrance; roof
has a similar gable parapet. Left gable wall has a blocked moulded stone window.
Right gable wall of main range was probably originally internal. Interior not
inspected.
