C18, 3 storeys , 5 windows, with 2 storey 2 window wing extension on right.
Ashlar, hipped slate roof. Centre portion of main facade breaks forward
slightly and has moulded cornice and pediment. Plain strings at 1st floor
level and at sill level of lst floor windows. Plinth course. All windows
double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Ground floor windows in plain reveals;
lst floor windows have architrave surrounds with pulvinated frieze and
flat cornice; central window over door Venetian with Ionic pilasters;
2nd floor windows have architrave surrounds. Centre portion has rusticated
quoins to lst floor level, square-headed doorway with architrave surround
within semi-circular-headed recess having rusticated jambs, keystone and
stepped extrados; 6-panelled door. Flanking the door are 2 smaller windows.
The 2-storey wing has moulded cornice and plain parapet, plain string
at lst floor level. Windows are double-hung sashes in reveals.

All the listed buildings in Church Street the Chantry Little Chantry,
Barton Orchard and the Catholic Church of St Thomas More, Market Street
form a group with Nos 7 and 9 to 19 Barton Orchard, Nos 5 and 6 and 27
to 31 (consec) and wall Newtown.
