Former farmhouse, now 2 cottages. Early C17 with 2 later additions. Timber
framed and plastered, the right gable end weatherboarded to eaves level.
Pantiled roof. 3-cell, lobby entry type. 2 storeys and attic. 3 windows,
mainly mid C20 standard casements without glazing bars; 2 older 3-light
windows at first floor level, with a single horizontal glazing bar to each
light. 2 mid C20 entrance doors. Internal stack with rebuilt axial shaft.
To left is a 1 1/2-storey addition, perhaps of c.1700, with a mid C20 standard
casement window and gable stack. 2-storey rear addition of later C17.
Interior. Exposed framing on upper floor. Mortices for diamond mullions in
former gable end where later wing adjoins. Slightly chamfered joists in hall,
plain joists at service end, all set flat. Joists in parlour concealed.
Plain joists in first floor ceilings. Newel stair to attic with old entrance
door. Roof has clasped purlins.
