Corner public house and house, now 2 houses. The Old bull Inn to right, is mid
C18, altered, with taller early C19 bay to left. Coursed rubble limestone with
dressed quoins, stone slate roof, and brick chimneys to left and to front right.
One storey and attic, 3 bays. Irregular front with small gable to chimney in
blind right bay. Left bay has C19 canted bay window with C20 hipped tiled roof
continued to right of door is a small 3-pane sash with wooden lintel. Upper
storey has flat-roofed semi-dormers with wooden casements, 3-light with cornice
to left, 2-light to centre. C20 3-light wooden casements in right gable end.
Stair projection to centre rear. C19 bay to left is part rubble stone and part
ashlar, and has blocked cellar opening, low single light, and 2 storeys of
2-light windows with chamfered stone mullions. Horseshoe House, to left, is late
C18-early Cl9, of ashlar with stone slate roof, coped gables and flanking brick
chimneys. 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays. 4-pane sashes in beaded stone surrounds
with keyblocks; gabled roof dormers with C20 2-light wooden casements. At left
end is a former lean-to extension, raised to 2 storeys C20, with artificial
slate roof and C20 casements. Rear entry.
