Church. 1861-3. By H. Gee. Rock-faced stone with ashlar
dressings and slate roof. Nave with north west tower,
transepts, short chancel and south vestry. Cornices and
coped gables with fleur-de-lys finials. 3-bay nave has 2-
light windows with Geometrical tracery between weathered
buttresses; west window of 5 lights. Short tower has
entrance of one order to west. 3 stages, the lowest with
set back buttresses and paired lancets, cornice with ball
flower and weathering over. 2nd stage has angle buttresses
and lancets. Bell stage has stepped triple lancets, clock
faces to west and south. Cornice with gargoyles and splayed
spire. Transepts are 2 bays deep, with angle buttresses, 5-
light window over gabled porch with entrance of one order,
return windows of 2 lights. Chancel has high 5-light
window, projecting vestry has traceried lancets and south
door with straight-headed window of 3 ogee-headed lights;
gabled projection has entrance and 2-light window. Interior
has hammer-beam roofs and large crossing space. Good C19
stained glass chancel window.
