Large detached house. Late C18. Ashlar front, hammer-dressed stone
rear. Stone slate roof. Two storeys and attic. Three-bay symmetrical
facade. Central 6-panel door with semi circular fanlight with radial
glazing bars. Engaged Doric columns support an open triangular pediment
over doorway. Large 12-pane sash windows with some blown glass. Moulded
eaves cornice. Four ashlar gable stacks with cornice. To each side is
a single-storey side wing, facade only to left, and to right forming the
front of a single-storey addition. Each wing has a doorway with architrave
and with 6-panel door to left (a recent replacement) and the same in stone
to right. Each wing also has a niche. The rear elevation has C20 single
storey porch. To left: one 4-light window to each floor, and to right:
one 2-light window to each floor, all with flat-faced mullions. Moulded
stone brackets to gutter. Left gable has oval window in gable apex and
lst-floor round-arched window with Gothick glazing bars. Right gable
has taking-in door to attic.

Interior: Central hall with stone staircase at rear pith moulded soffit
to treads, and ramped moulded handrail to iron balustrade.
