of Norton Manor

Barn. Probably C17 in origin with late C18 re-roofing and early
C20 refenestration and re-ordering. Coursed rubble with wooden
lintels, plank doors and gates and steeply pitched gabled stone
slate roof; north end brick stack. Tall block set at right-
angles to road: west face blank, east face with 2 cart entrances,
one doorway and several casement windows. Loft entrance to south
facade.
Interior. Butt-purlin, collar and tie-beam roof structure. The
barn is an important visual element in the streetscape between
Bucklands Farmhouse (q.v.) and Norton Manor (q.v.).
