5/58 Wellhead in courtyard to
the east of Norton Manor

Ornamental Wellhead. C16 Venetian, erected in 1925. Marble
wellhead set on Pennant flag plinth, wrought iron post with pulley
and chain. Wellhead in the form of a large classical capital with
circular base developing to a square head through coved corners.
Acanthus leaf decoration to corners, lions' heads and winged putti
in roundels to each side. Square base stone with floral scroll
pattern to sides. Cruciform Pennant platform of 2 tiers with
semi-circular projections to each side.
