Farmhouse. Dated 1882 on 2 datestones on front gables. Red brick, roof of
black pantiles. 2 storeys. Symmetrical facade with 2 gables facing forwards
and a short link between them. 3 window range, 2-light and 3-light casements
with heavy mullions and transoms and metal glazing bars in geometric pattern,
flat brick arches; single storey gabled porch with plaintiled roof, recessed
entrance under 3-centre arch, 4-panel door. The main gables and the porch have
richly ornamented scalloped bargeboarding with spike finials above and below
the apex. 2 stacks, each with 3 grouped flues with oversailing brick caps.
Single storey former dairy wing to rear. Included as a fine example of the
local architectural style of the Barne estate.
