8/42 The Old Bell Cottage
GV II
Inn, now detached cottage. Early C18. English bond brick,
thatched roof, with coped verges and gable end brick stacks. Two-
storey, 3-window. Four-panelled door to left of centre, 3-light
leaded casement to left and 2-light wooden casement to right.
First floor has 2 and 3-light leaded casements and 2-light wooden
casement. Rear has gabled porch with 4-panelled door, 3, 2-light
and single-light casement to left, 6-pane fixed and 2-light
casement to right. First floor has one 3-light and two 2-light
leaded casements, C20 attic dormer. Left return has single-light
casement to attic. Interior not accessible at time of survey
(August 1986).
