- II
Farmhouse. C16 core, the right hand (parlour) cell added in early C17 when
the old house was raised about 0.3m; rear wing probably C19. Timber framed
and plastered, red brick casing up to eaves level on the left hand gable end;
pantiled roof. A small section of the front is jettied, with exposed framing
to the ground floor: this would appear to be a remnant of an earlier range. 3
cell plan. 3 windows, mid C20 casements; lobby entrance with gabled porch and
4-panel door; internal stack. The rear wing has the wrought iron letters "A"
& "S" on the gable end. Modernised interior with exposed timbering. Moated
site.
