Shops, offices and public house with flats over. c1865. Red
brick partly stuccoed, slate roofs. 3 storeys; 2:2:2:3 bays
with angled corner bay on right and 3:2 bay right return to
Parade Street. Nos 101 & 103: later shop fronts; 1st-floor
sill band to 4-pane sashes in shouldered and eared architraves
with pulvinated friezes and cornices; 2nd floor: No.101 with
sill band to plain sashes whilst No.103 has projecting sills
to 4-pane sashes. No.105 (Bank Chambers): doorway on left of 2
tall windows, all set between rusticated ashlar piers under
frieze and cornice; upper floors as No.103 but with plain
sashes. Nos 107 & 109 (The Old Bank with flats over):
channel-rusticated stucco to ground floor, the upper floors
have plain stucco; 6-panel door on left (giving access to
flats 107A and 107B) have overlight with decorative glazing
bars; moulded sills to later casements, corner entrance;
continuous frieze and cornice enriched with egg-and-dart. 1st
floor: double sash and single sash in shouldered architraves
with dentilled cornices, no window to corner bay. 2nd floor:
projecting sills to 2 altered 4-pane sashes and two 12-pane
sashes (including corner bay). Whole range has ashlar lintel
band and eaves cornice; brick ridge stacks on the party walls.
