Pumping engine house. 1880-85. Red brick with ashlar dressings
and slate roofs topped with a ventilator. Chamfered ashlar
plinth, rusticated quoins, moulded eaves band. Single storey;
9x3 windows. Rectangular plan. East front has, to the left, 4
tall round-headed windows, now blocked. To their right, a
large round-headed doorway, partially blocked, then a blocked
tall window, then a further round-headed doorway with double
plank doors. To right, 2 tall round-headed windows. West front
has 6 round-headed windows flanked by single doors, the left
one 6-panelled, the right one round-headed. To right again, 2
round-headed windows. South side has 3 bays defined by
pilaster strips, and 3 tall round-headed windows, now blocked.
