Farmhouse. Early C18 and two C19 cottages. Painted roughcast:
slate roof with stepped coping to left gable end. Pantiles to
rear extension; rendered stacks. Single-depth plan with rear
outshut, 2 cottages to rear right.
2 storeys, 4-window range. Window to far right is over
carriage entrance, otherwise the house is symmetrical with a
central hall. C18 door with raised-and-fielded lower panels
altered in C19 with 2 long glazed panels above; planked
carriage door to far right. All windows are C19 three-light
casements with glazing bars, except similar 2-light casements
over both doors, the one over the house door is early C20
without glazing bars to lower half.
To the rear are two 2-storey one-window range cottages, that
to the left, nearest the house is early C19 with 8/8-pane
sashes; that to the right is later C19 with 2/2-pane sashes.
INTERIOR: left room has early C18 fireplace surround with
mantelshelf; to the left is a fitted cupboard in a
semi-circular arch with a moulded wood keystone; the top
cupboard has 2 doors with raised-and-fielded panels shaped to
fit the arch; the central rail has 3 small deep drawers and a
2-door cupboard below with raised-and-fielded panels. To the
right is a full-height cupboard with raised-and-fielded panels
and H-hinges. Substantial beams run parallel to the facade.
Staircase to the rear has turned balusters and bracketed
treads.
