Church. 1870-72. By E. Holmes of Birmingham. Ashlar with tile
roofs. Early English style. 2-bay chancel with south vestry;
4-bay nave. Narrow offset buttresses and angle buttresses;
coped gables. Chancel has sill course and 3-light east window
with Geometrical tracery; north side has cusped lancet and
narrow projection for organ; south side has cusped lancet to
east of square vestry with cusped lancets, west entrance with
segmental-pointed head and small splayed spire with lucarnes;
plastered conecting block. Nave has cusped lancets to north
and south; south gabled porch has plain chamfered pointed
entrance with paired doors; 4-light west window with
Geometrical tracery; east gable has bell turret with blocked
pointed openings. INTERIOR: deep arch-braced roofs, that to
chancel corbelled; chancel arch on corbels carved with vine
and wheat, passion flower and lily, low walls to chancel. East
window has stained glass by Hardman and Co; other windows have
C20 stained glass.
