Inn, now restaurant and hairdresser's. Early C19 front, to
early C17 core. Roughcast; timber-frame and brick; old plain
tiles, with small gable to right; brick stack to rear. 2
storeys and cellar; 5-window range: C19 casements and, to
right, 6/6 sash under simple hood, all with simple
architraves. Entrance to right: C20 half-glazed studded door;
to right, C20, 4/8 sash; to left, 2, 4/8 sashes, passage to
rear, and further 4/8 sash, all with simple hoods and
architraves. Left returned side: early C17 box framing, with
front roof-pitch raised on massive purlin. Passage to rear has
chamfered ceiling beam and box-framing, with C20 fenestration.
Rear displays further box framing. INTERIOR: C20 staircase.
1st floor: exposed C16 timber-framing, with stop-chamfered
ceiling-beams. Ground floor: moulded and chamfered ceiling
beams; corner stack. Cellar: chamfered ceiling beam; corner
stack base; stone-lined.
