House. Late C18. Brick; C20 composite tile roof; 2 brick end
stacks.
3 storeys and cellar; 3-window range: 6/6 sashes under brick
segmental arches; painted storeyband; 3/3 sashes over; brick
modillion eaves. Central entrance: part-glazed panelled door
in moulded doorcase, under simple porch with hipped fish-scale
slate roof, on chamfered posts; flanked by 6/6 sashes; painted
storeyband. Recessed wing to left, with tier of C20, 3-light
casements, over C20 light and glazed door. Rear: two 3/6, and
one 8/8 sashes; 4/4 sashes over; brick modillion eaves; 2
prominent slate roofed bay-windows with 2/2 sashes.
INTERIOR: early C19 dogleg staircase with turned newels, stick
balusters and swan neck rail. 2nd floor: 6-panel doors with
architraves; 4-panel door. 1st floor: 6-panel doors, with
architraves; architraves to windows; cornice; 4-panel door.
Ground floor: 6-panel doors with architraves; wood lined
arches; ceiling cornice to hall; panelled risers, and
architraves to windows; alcoves; picture-rails; C19 marble
fireplace; architraves to bays. Cellar: masonry, stone and
brick lining.
