House, now shop. Later C18 to earlier core. Brick; old plain
tiles. 2 storeys; 3-window range: C20, 3/6 sashes under gauged
brick flat arches; brick modillion eaves. Entrance to right:
C20 glazed door, and painted fanlight, under moulded open
pediment hood on consoles; gauged brick semicircular arch; C20
shop front to left. INTERIOR: C18 dogleg staircase with
moulded rail and turned balusters. 1st floor: coved ceiling;
Mayor's parlour, (within structure of No.24 (qv)), has C17
plaster moulding of City Coat of Arms and heavily enriched
moulded and decorated plaster ceiling; exposed post. Ground
floor: exposed timber-framing. Cellar: stone-lined.
