House, partly converted to flats. c1830. Gault brick with
slate roofs. South-east front faces road. 2 storey main block
in 3 bays. Gabled projecting porch with doorcase comprising
reeded Tuscan columns below a metope hood. Fenestration of
sashes with glazing bars, those to ground floor set within
recessed Soanian-like arches. Upper windows with gauged
skewback arches. Paired panel eaves cornice below shallow
hipped roof. Garden front similar. To north-east a similar
3-bay addition links original block to a gabled pavilion
rising through 2 storeys.
INTERIOR. Various pieces of floral plasterwork adorn the
principal rooms. Short staircase approaches right-hand
ground-floor room which is arranged in imitation of a medieval
hall with a further staircase at the "solar" end.
