House. 1851-1855. By Charles Lynam. Stucco over brick with
Welsh slate roof. Italianate style, 2-storeyed, 3 bays, with
paired advanced gables to right, with round-arched sash
windows grouped as paired mullioned lights, with a canted bay
window in the wider right-hand gable. Round-arched doorway on
inner face of left-hand gable, and canted bay window with
round-arched mullioned lights in the left-hand range. Low
tower to rear. Overhanging eaves, rear wall stacks. Built as
part of a private development of middle-class housing,
originally comprising an estate of 24 dwellings.
