32 terraced houses. c. 1836-42. Brown and yellow stock brick
set in Flemish bond; stucco basement, ground floor and
cornice. Pitched slated roofs; party-wall stacks. Symmetrical
curved terrace. Sidehall entrance with staircase. 3 storeys,
basements and some attics, 2 windows each; nos. 1 and 32 3
windows each. Banded stucco ground floor with segmental arched
sash windows, some margin lights. To left, low steps rise to
square-headed doorway; panelled door flanked by plain
pilasters carrying corniced-head; rectangular overlight with
simple glazing bars beneath rosette frieze and console
bracketed cornice. Nos. 1 and 32 with side entrance with
stucco portico. Upper floor of brick with plain sill band
beneath first floor full-length sash windows. 1st floor with
blocks of 3 houses with one pedimented 3-light sash (with
central window of each block with segmental pediment)
alternating with recessed blocks of 4 or 6 houses with 2
architraved windows each. 1st floor 3 light windows with cast
iron balconies, others with cast iron window guards. 2nd floor
with single 3-light architraved sash windows divided by
pilasters and with apron panels. Stucco cornice; nos. 2, 7, 8,
16-18, 20-22, 25, 29-32 with blocking course. Some attics with
dormers. Original iron area and porch railings to nos. 1, 2
and 32.
