House. Late C18, remodelled as an estate cottage mid C19.
Brick with ashlar dressings and pantile roofs. 2 brick gable
stacks, with square double flues set diagonally, one pair
coped. Similar single stack to rear range. Tudor Revival
style. 2 storeys; 2 window range. Double range plan. Windows
are mainly C19 casements with stone surrounds and mullions. 2
through-eaves dormers with coped gables and ball finials, each
with a 2-light window. Large central timber framed gabled
porch with turned posts and board door. On either side, a
3-light cross mullioned window.
An estate cottage provided for workers on the Belton estate by
the Brownlow family of Belton House.
