Barn approx 150 metres north of Little Wenham
Castle and West of Church of St Lawrence

Barn. C16. Red brick with some black headers and diapering to lower storey,
upper storey timber framed, brick nogging infill. Pantiled roof. Gabled
midstrey to east face. Of 8 bays. 2 nine light mullions each to east and west
faces, and mullions to gabled returns. Vertically boarded door to north of east
face, this wall with several brick buttresses. Roof structure, queen posts with
arched braces to collars, double side purlins, arched braces to upper purlins.
Arched braces to tie beams. 4 pair of storey posts inserted, the original half
height storey posts, chamfered and jowled. Halved and bridled top plate scarfs.
