Pair of cottages. Late C17. Rubble stone, stone slate roof with
coped verges, stone stack to right and brick stack opposite door to
No 117. Baffle entry. Two-storey, 7-window. C20 gabled porch
to No 117 with 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement with
fillets to left and two to right. No 116 has glazed door in
chamfered surround and two 2-light mullioned casements to right.
Continuous moulded lintel string course, carried up over door
lintel. First floor with seven 2-light mullioned casements.
Left return has 2-light C20 casement to ground floor and two 2-
light mullioned casements to first floor, 2-light mullioned
casement to attic. Right return has C20 ground floor casement,
C20 flat-roofed porch. Rear has 1970s two-storey addition to No
117. French windows to first floor opening onto flat roof of
single-storey extension to No 116. C20 attic dormers.
Interior of No 116 said to have open fireplace, but no beams. No
117 said to retain chamfered beams and open fireplace.
