House, divided into 2. Mid C17.One-and-a-half storeys.2-cell lobby-entrance
plan, with a 3rd unit added c.1800 at the west end. Timber-framed and
plastered in black and white panelling to simulate framing. Pantiled roof.
Internal chimney-stack with a plain red brick shaft. Various windows to
ground storey: 3 steeply pitched gabled dormers. A one-and-a-half C19 lean-to
extension along the rear: in red brick behind Courtfield, rendered behind
Tradescant Cottage. Only plain main beams, posts and wallplates visible
inside.
