Farmhouse. Mid C17. Coursed rubble sandstone, renewed pantile roof. 2 storeys
with partial cellar. 5 windows to 1st floor. Large quoins. C20 part-glazed
doors and casements with glazing bars. Quoined doorway to far right has Tudor-
arched lintel; to its left an altered double-chamfered surround and another
unaltered opening without mullion, with similar cellar window below. To left
part of house: a quoined doorway with plain lintel flanked by enlarged 3-light
openings. 1st floor: enlarged opening to far left with, to right, a small
window over door and beyond three 2-light windows in double-chamfered surrounds
now with lowered projecting sills. Kneelers and square-cut gable copings.
Renewed brick end stacks and ridge stack above left doorway.
Interior: large fireplace arch backing onto right gable; Tudor-arched fireplace
in room above. Extended spine beam in central room indicates position of former
smoke-hood. Single-storey wing to rear not of special interest.
