Market cross. C14 with mid C19 finial. Limestone ashlar. Square plan. Square
socket with chamfered corners, set on 5 steps. Finely moulded, lobed, shaft
rising from socket, has cross finial added in 1850. The cross may be associated
with the grant of 1387, to William La Zouche, far an annual fair and a market on
Tuesdays.
