Late Cl8 or early C19. One of a pair with "sherwell", Dartmouth Hill (qv)
in style associated with Michael Searles. Stucco. 3 storeys, attic and
basement in pedimented centre block of 2 windows; 2 storeys and basement,
2 windows in abutting South wing under half-pediment. Fairly low pitched,
slated roof. Dentil cornices and pediments. Shared oval window in
centre pediment, and blank windows on axis. Plain reveals to recessed,
replaced sash Windows with glazing bars. At ground floor centre a
shallow, 3-window canted bay with cornice and balustraded parapet. Main
front, as described, faces Heath, but entrance on return in Dartmouth
Grove. 2-storey, 1 window pedimented entrance extension. 6-panel
door under flat hood on brackets. Tall fanlight with glazing bars over.
