House, later in indeterminate industrial use, by 1872 the premises of a
'furniture maker, paper hanger, undertaker, appraiser and house agent',
now shop. Late C16 or early C17, altered in C18 or C19, restored in C20.
Timber-framed with red and blue brick ground floor, painted to south; first
floor weather-boarded to north and east with exposed frame with rendered infill
to south. Plain tiled roof. Full length sliding sashes with upright glazing
hars on first floor to east, irregular fenestration elsewhere. Entrance in
two-storey painted brick wing to south. Interior: timber-frame exposed
with chamfered ground floor bearer. 2-bay frame. Exposed queen post roof
with cambered tie.
