Caldon Canal (Leek Branch) Bridge at SJ 959 536

A Grade II Listed Building in Longsdon, Staffordshire

No. 5 bridge, Leek branch canal (west face)

Uploader's Comments

Listed as an early C19th road bridge. The bridge, which spans over the Leek branch of the Caldon canal, in fact appears to be carrying little more than a grassed over track connecting properties on the south of the canal to Sandy Lane to the north via the yard of a property off Sandy Lane. Vehicular access to the bridge is uncertain. The bridge is numbered 5. Photo taken from the canal towpath looking east 02/11/14.
