Cottage. Probably early C18, with inner alterations and additions. Coursed
squared stone, pantile roof. Two low storeys, two bays. Baffle-entry plan.
Herringbone-tooled quoins. Board door on left with herringbone-tooled lintel.
to right on each floor are two 2-light 8-pane side-sliding sashes, those on
ground floor larger and with 2-piece herringbone-tooled lintels. Kneelers are
plain, projecting blocks. Brick end stacks. Rear: outshut added on left; right
part heightened in C20. right return: plinth; quoins on right, at junction with
outshut, and between 2 of them is incorporated a fragment of masonry with
medieval-decoration. The gables of both returns have large, stepped,
herringbone-tooled edging stones. Interior: inglenook at left end has headpost,
bressummer and bench and contains inserted C19 iron range with water-boiler,
oven and reckons in stone surround; upstairs, principal rafters are visible.
