Farmhouse. Late C18 with later additions and alterations. Coursed squared
herringbone-tooled stone, C20 pantile roof. 2 storeys with attic, 3 bays with
wings to rear left and right with outshut in-between extended to rear. Garden
Front: chamfered plinth. Central C20 board door with overlight flanked by tall
3-light C20 casement windows all with keyed lintels. On lst floor shorter 3-light
casements with cemented lintels, left one with tie-rod end above, flanky central
2-light casement with keyed lintel. All windows have projecting cills. Shaped
kneelers, left one broken off; ashlar coping and end stacks. Outbuilding attached
to right not of special interest.
Rear: right wing is part of original build. Left wing is an addition, in
untooled coursed nibble, and has a ground-floor window with tripartite lintel.
The outshut addition has been extended in brick in the C20.
Right return: in gable of main range in small 12-pane side-sliding sash with
tripartite lintel and projecting cill. Lower wing projecting on right has a
lst-floor window with similar lintel. Left return window in gable of main block
as in right gable. Lower 2-storey, 2-bay wing on left has a C20 1/2-glazed door on
right with a C20 3-light window to left, a 3-light side-sliding sash to far left
and two 2-light side-sliding sashes above, all openings having keyed lintels;
shaped kneeler and ashlar coping to left end and two brick stacks.
Interior: rear right wing has sunken-floored dairy. Dog-leg open-string stair
rising to attic has gun-barrel type balusters with vase bases.
