Home Farmhouse

II

House. Late C17. Squared coursed ironstone, slate roof, stone stacks. 2 storeys,
attic and cellar, 4 bays. Doorway in second bay from right has moulded wood
frame, plank door and C19 gabled timber porch. 3-light stone-mullioned window
with square hood. 2 similar windows to left. 2-light window with stone mullion
without a hood in left bay of first floor and similar window to right. Between
them at mezzanine and attic levels are two 2-light windows. Mezzanine window has
wood lintel and wood casement. Attic window has plain stone frame and iron
casement. Window in right bay has wood lintel and C19 three-light iron casement.
On left side are 3-light stone mullioned windows on ground and first floor and
2-light in attic, all with stone hoods. C20 dormers. Coped gable ends with
kneelers. Barn adjoining to right, ironstone, with corrugated iron roof.
Interior not inspected but said to have been remodelled and original staircase
removed.
