Icehouse approximately 100 metres north-east of Brandsby Hall Stables

Disused icehouse. Probably mid C18 and for Francis Cholmeley. Externally of
rubble. Rounded structure over entrance tunnel, with castellated gable at west
end with round-arched opening to board door. Interior: short barrel-arched
tunnel; deep tapering cylindrical ice chamber in brick with domed roof; sockets
for joists of former floor across chamber at entrance level; sockets for jamb-
posts of double doors at chamber entrance.
