Field barn and stable. Late C18. Coursed square stone, pantile roof. 3-bay barn
with lower 2-bay stable at west end. South front: herringbone-tooled quoins; barn
has central narrow doorway with timber lintel flanked by 2 slit vents on each side
at lintel height, ends of iron tie-rods above and rectangular opening to left;
stable has doorway with timber lintel; shaped kneelers, stone coping. Rear: barn
has blocked opposed doorway as before with 2 low-level slit vents each side and
one above to right, and ends of tie-rods. Right return (barn): 3 low-level slit
vents, square opening with timber lintel in gable, verge formed of large blocks
of stone, stepped on inside. Interior: 2 principal rafter roof trusses to barn
and a single collared principal rafter roof truss to stable.
