Boundary wall with piers, gates and railings. Late C18. Limestone, ashlar
and wrought iron. Overall length approximately 90 metres, composed of
60-metre length with central 2-leaved gates with piers, flanked by low wall
with railings and end piers and, to left, a 30 metre length turning the
corner and linked to the north-west corner of the house (qv). Gates and
railings: square-section bars with top rail and pointed finials. Overall
height approximately 1.5 metres, the railings built into low wall of
2 courses squared limestone with rounded coping. Piers flanking gates and
railings: rusticated ashlar with moulded capstone, height approximately
2 metres. Side wall of coursed squared limestone with flat coping and
ramped up from left pier and again close to house.
