High Loxley House

GV II

Barn. C17, re-roofed in C19. Timber framed on brick and sandstone footings,
weatherboard cladding and hipped, plain tiled roof with end gablets. Five
framed bays with central opposing entrances, threshing platform to centre with
hipped midstrey to one side. Queen-strut roof with braced main posts. Cat-
slide extension to roof on side facing old farmyard. The barn is part of an
unspoilt farm group.
