1740. Brown brick, red dressings. Five windows, flush frames, brick flat arches. Six-panel door with architrave, Roman doric fluted pilaster, capitals with recettes, bracketed hood. Brick moulded cornice, parapet, three dormers, slate roof. Modern east additions. Altered door hood.
Interior: C18 panelling. Adam-style room with good plaster walls and ceiling, circa 1775. NMR. A plaque stating that Becky Sharp in Thackeray's "Vanity Fair" threw the dictionary from the carriage window into Chiswick Square is incorrect.
