House. C16, possibly around an earlier core, extended in C17, C19 and C20.
Timber framed, close stud pattern exposed on first floor right of centre with
cement infill, galletted sandstone rubble with brick dressings below. Pebble-
dashed first floor extension to left over ironstone and galletted sandstone
rubble ground floor. Mixture of rubblestone and sandstone blocks on right hand
extension, some chalk blocks to rear. Plain tiled roofs over. Two storeys.
Three bay original house, extended to left end and front right. Tension bracing
on first floor. Stacks to ends, and further stacks to centre rear. Two 4-light
casement windows across first floor and one blocked window. Two larger ground
floor windows. Half-glazed door to left end in architrave surround and under
flat hood on brackets. One 3-light first floor and ground floor window on left
hand gable. Left hand return front:- Incised render on ground floor, tile hung
above. Pentice to rear right. Wing at right angles to rear. Centre with parallel
range running across end.
