House. Central block early C18, rear wing c1850, side block and canted bays
c1870. C19 alterations possibly by W.E. Nesfield. Red brick, cement
rendering, ashlar dressings. Welsh slate roof. Central block: 3 storeys, 7
bays. Sashes in plain surrounds with double keystones, second-floor windows
with single keystones. Central half-glazed door with overlight in Roman
Doric porch with frieze, cornice with mutules and blocking course. Above is
a window with segmental pediment. First-and second-floor bands. Stone
cornice and balustraded parapet with ball-finials. To either side canted
stone bays: 2 storeys, quoins, sashes with double keystones. First-floor
band, cornice, parapet as main block. To left: wing of 2 storeys,2 bays.
Quoins. Tripartite windows with sashes in stone surrounds with double
keystones. First-floor band and parapet as main block. To far left:
service block with walled court in front. Arched openings on a plinth with
frieze, cornice and parapet as main block. Interior: open-well staircase
with thin iron balusters. The 2 front rooms of the main block have C19
plaster ceilings.
