Church. C15/C16, restored C19. Ashlar and rubble stone with stone dressings
and Swithland slate roof. Stone coped E gable with cross finial. Buttresses
with set-offs, those to E end of chancel and W end of tower being diagonal.
W tower, nave, chancel and S porch. Tower of 2 stages : W window with C19
stained glass, 4 2-light bell openings, fleuron frieze, battlements and panelled
pinnacles. The nave arch is double chamfered with polygonal responds. To
either side of nave 3 simple 2-light Perp windows, probably renewed C19.
Blocked N door with 2 head corbels (probably re-set) above. 3 bay C20 tile
beam roof, but incorporating C16 moulded tie beams and probably original carved
principals. Double chamfered chancel arch. 4-light mullion and transom E
window and a 2-light Window to N and S : all have late C19/early C20 stained
glass. Small piscina with cusped arch. Plastered ceiling. S door has 4-centred
arch. Late C19 S porch. C18 pedestal vase font, Georgian Royal Arms on
canvas, early C19 wall monuments and carved oak open chancel screen of 1894.
